| Each year during the Benefit Auction for Sacred Heart, parishioners and auction donors show their support for Sacred Heart School by making cash donations “For The Cause.” Over the years we have been abundantly blessed by generous donors who have made it possible for us to make many improvements to our physical facilities including the replacement of water fountains, flooring upgrades, windows and door replacements, security system installation, et al. This year the BASH Committee has selected a For The Cause project that will more directly impact the actual classroom learning experience for our students. With your help, we hope to purchase Promethean interactive whiteboards for our classrooms. Traditional teaching styles are challenged as students become more tech-savvy. Promethean ACTIVboards help to bridge the gap between how our students live and how they learn. In addition to making lessons colorful, engaging and interactive for students, Promethean ACTIVboards come with software that contains thousands of resources helping to make lesson planning exciting for our teachers and learning fun for our students. We are eager for this opportunity to make an investment in tools that will enable our students continue to excel when they transition to middle school. The total estimated cost of $31,000 for the Promethean solution covers the cost of equipping 6 of our classrooms with hardware, software and network firewall, and includes fees for system installation and teacher training. |
