Sacred Heart parishioners focused on the mission of Catholic Education
for the children of their parish. The parish had found its heart — its
life blood, which would be the springboard of faith filled lives and
families for generations.
The school opened in September 1951 with four Benedictine teachers from
the Mt. Saint Scholastica Convent of Atchison, Kansas. A school
addition in 1968 added four more classrooms.
